Ruby Star is a really lovely senior with a heart of gold. Her dam was a purebred German Shepherd, and her sire unknown. Because of her beautiful fluffy Golden Retriever like hair and coloring, we suspect her daddy may be a Golden Retriever. (Birth Date 7-8-02) True to her German Shepherd heritage, Ruby Star tends to attach herself to one person and has a tendency to be protective of that person. She is especially fond of females, so she would make a great companion and best friend for a single lady. She is currently fostered with a man and is becoming attached to him as well.

Ruby Star has great house manners and gets along well with dogs of all sizes but is not suited for a home with cats. She is a bit hand shy so we recommend that she not go to a home with young children. If you have some love to give..Ruby would love to return that love ten times over. She needs a home where she'll be welcome indoors as part of the family, though a fenced yard is also required.
